*As you can see, there are many important dates in November.  Please mark your calendars.

*We have had a tremendous amount of volunteer support already this year.  We would like to thank all of you who have spent time in various activities at the school and/or with the children! We could not offer such a unique educational experience without your continued support.  Please contact Cathy Stubee at volunteers@hlacharter.com or any staff member for more information or with questions regarding volunteering or volunteer opportunities.

Thank you!

*Homework and Teachers Involving Parents in Schoolwork (TIPS) assignments – In response to past survey results, we have reduced the amount of homework in all grades this school year.  Each teacher has also added one or two TIPS assignments per week to facilitate our parent involvement component.  The feedback has been impressive and extremely useful to the teachers.  Thank you in advance for your continued participation in these assignments.  Please include written feedback/comments each time.

*We are beginning to see an increasing number of students who are tardy by just a few minutes each day. If this applies to you, please set your clock ahead or adjust your schedule to ensure that your child is here before 7:45 a.m.   We begin Morning Meeting at 7:45, and it is disrupting to have a stream of students entering the building during this time.  The doors open at 7:15 for Morning Mile.  Join us!

*We will be holding our holiday program on December 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the Tioga center stage area.  Please bring chairs or blankets.  We hope you will enjoy this special program.  This event is open to the public, so feel free to invite family and friends.  There will be no Parent Involvement Night in November due to the short month.

Always feel free to contact us with any questions, comment or concerns.

We are here for you and your children!
