*We will be having Summer Camp! Be on the lookout for a flyer that will be coming home soon. There will be different themes throughout the summer and a good time to be had by all. Please contact Mr. Mike at mcollins@hlacharter.com, see him in person, or call him at 372-2279 for more details. Graduating fifth grade and incoming kindergarten students are welcome to attend.
*Our Just for the Health of It event was a huge success! Thank you for coming out and supporting your children’s school. We raised a bit over $5,000 toward the playground fund. We have posted a ton of pictures on our Facebook page. The looks on the children’s faces as they cross the finish line are priceless. We had 16 blood donors, which translates into an estimated 48 lives saved. Thank you for saving lives!!
*A Run Club note from Mr. Mike: Thank you all so much for your dedication to making our afternoon running club a success!! Our students have come a long way, and many have persevered to meet their goals as they have developed a passion for running and exercise. I can’t thank you enough for putting in the time and effort to encourage these kids to accomplish great things! Details about our Skate Station award ceremony coming soon.
*We will have a pajama party on the last day of school. Students may wear school appropriate pajamas. They must also wear sneakers and socks as we will still be going outdoors. Please do not send in blankets, robes or stuffed animals. The children have worked hard all year, and we are looking forward to a fun day together.
We hope your children have had a fabulous year at HLA! Happy Summer!! J
