CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS:

*Second Grade Teacher

https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=3a14f93e83e39128&from=shareddesktop_copy

We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Second Grade Teacher who believes deeply in educating the whole child. This educator will join a close-knit charter school community of approximately 110 students, where relationships, wellness, and joyful learning are at the center of everything we do.

Our second grade class sizes are intentionally small, with no more than 18 students per class, allowing teachers to truly know each child and personalize instruction.

We are committed to our guiding philosophy: HLA – Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy Planet.

We are looking for someone who sees learning as joyful, meaningful, and connected to real life—someone who understands that second graders thrive when they are supported academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and creatively.

Our Philosophy: HLA – Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy Planet

At our school, this is not just a motto—it is the foundation of everything we do.

We believe children grow best when they experience:

Healthy Minds through social-emotional learning, mindfulness, and strong relationships
Healthy Bodies through daily movement, physical activity, yoga, and active learning
A Healthy Planet through gardening, sustainability, outdoor exploration, and environmental awareness
Creative Expression through art, music, storytelling, dramatic play, and hands-on learning experiences
We value the whole child and design learning experiences that reflect this belief every day.

Curriculum & Instructional Expectations

Teachers are required to follow state standards, but we value professional autonomy and provide flexibility in pacing guides, allowing educators to respond to student needs and interests.

We utilize UFLI (University of Florida Literacy Institute) for foundational literacy instruction. Familiarity or prior training in UFLI is highly preferred and considered a strong asset for candidates.
